LPG in the South of England

Morning all!

Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations on good places for LPG conversions on a 2 L Petrol.

I have all the facts about it (I think) just wondering where is good, one tip I had is find one that has knowledge of Bongo's not just any old one.

I found some prices on here for the conversion but the posts were from 2009 so may have changed now - what would I expect to pay roughly?

There's a well established fitter in Aylesbury...one of the first established registered fitters...I was looking about 12 years ago for a big 4x4, but decided against...but it's worth checking.

I had my V6 converted at Battersea autogas in London but that might be a bit far for you.

My friend used PI Fuel systems in Petersfield for his Range Rover but I have never used them

ACS Classic Cars Hythe near Southampton converted mine. Did an extremely good job. They deal with a lot of Bongos.

My understanding is ..

Yes .. if a plus .. recommendation ..

No .. if it's a negative recommendation ..

Another factor is whether the company in question is specifically in the Bongo business or not. If people want to pass comment on Kwik Fit or Microsoft then I don't think there is generally too much concern. A lot of Bongo specialists are one-man operations where negative comments (justified or otherwise) could have significant impact on their livelihood and therefore it puts Bongo Fury in a tricky position.

I agree recommendations are ok but negative things should be avoided as it could well affect someone's business, unless you are a dodgy Bristol seller of course

I think ACS in Southampton will be my best bet so will call them for a price

The Bongo has a short injection phase ( I believe that's what it's called) and is a difficult one for them to fit. Mine was done by profess autogas in mid Wales ; they also did my Peugeot 206 - guess which one has never had an issue at all ( yup the PUG)
