Mains Hookup

Post by philip_pilcher » Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:02 pm

Hi All,

Being a complete novice ( 1st bongo trip planned for easter weekend) I was just curious about the mains hookup process - once connected to the mains power does the power source default to the mains hookup as I am concerned that the power may be sourced from either the leisure battery or even worse the engine battery. Is there something like a switch or something that ensures the power is received from the mains & not the battery.
With Kind Regards
Phil

All installations can vary, but the most common option is that the;
Two 13Amp mains sockets will be directly powered from the EHU,
there may also be a 12 volt charger that will run the conversion and very often charge a battery - possible selected by a switch on the control panel.

You really need to let us know what the system installed is Zig version, PMS3 or CBE systems are the most common, a picture helps a lot!
