Re: Solar panel

Hi Paul. Roger fitted a flexi panel to my mushroom roof. No problems at all regarding lifting the roof, it was heavy any way but the panel does not add much more weight. I would'nt have thought you would notice to be honest. The flexible panels are about 2kg. Nothing! Thank you all for the info... ...

M49, M4 and M5 Sunday 24thJuly

Hi all :D This Sunday morning - 24th July - is not going to be the best time to travel in the Avonmouth/Stroud/Thornbury areas. There is a very heavy and wide load leaving Avonmouth on the M49 between 8 and 8.30am, heading onto the M4 then north on the M5 as far as Junction 13 Stroudwater(estimated ...

Re: Solar panel

Not meaning to hijack this interesting thread but has anyone got a solar panel on a JAL mushroom roof? We were told categorically not to put one on because of the weight but I'm sure I've seen one or two around with one, and they are very negligible weight surely? Its something I keep thinking about...

Re: 47" or 41" Bed in side conversion ??

Hi sootyswift :D Sorry, just picked up on this thread... We have the 41" bed and side conversion with mushroom roof and love it. We did initially look at the wider bed but decided the narrower storage would be more of an issue than the narrower bed. As you say, the fridge built into the side un...

Re: CAN I TOW THIS VAN SAFELY?

Hi :D Recommended towing weight is 80% of kerb weight of the towing vehicle - basically so the tail doesn't start wagging the dog! From memory, nose weight should be 80kgs for the Bongo but I'm sure it says in the handbook.. A proper nose weight gauge is always useful to have, certainly until you ge...

Re: Dealer Feedback please - Newbie !

I'm just going to echo what Haydn said - Phil is totally honest and trustworthy! We bought from him last year - albeit in a slightly different manner - and it was completely hassle and stress free =D> He is very definitely a 'character' but very definitely on 'your side'. He has a well deserve...
