Re: Servicing in the Region - list on page 1

Top marks to Lac @ LA Cars
Had a service, coolant change, a wiring issue sorted and fitted a tow-bar recently
Very pleased with the result. \:D/

Re: Is this a rear view camera?

OK so I'm having a bit of a struggle to get behind the dash - I have dropped out the 'glove' box and can see the LH side wiring but nothing there. I can't see a way of removing the blanking slot fitted above the dealer fitted Kenwood radio. Any ideas anyone?

Re: Newbie on line....fridge/battery?

The lb is sitting under the bonnet with no connections to anything else and looking very old. I have no idea if I have a split charger or even which zig? Don't know what a wiring loom is. As you can read....I know not very much at all....this is all new to me and I'm not mechanically or electricall...

Re: Another Coolant Alarm Issue

 thanks Geoff: It looked a lot different to the pic Simon posted - I really must get an eyetest (sigh) Haydn - The Landy alarm I made didn't have a float system, too much swaying about in them motors for that  I have a feeling it used a 555 and a transistor ... must find diagram.

Hmmm I didn't think the system on the 2 litre petrol models was pressurised - I hope not 'cos I took a look in the header tank today

Re: Is this a rear view camera?

Thank you all for the info. I'll start pulling the dash out looking for a yellow RCA Plug for composite video now. Hopefully I'll be able to one and try it on one of the screens I have. Watch this space!

Re: Another Coolant Alarm Issue

Thanks to all for the advice on getting a low coolant alarm. =D> I used to have one on my Land Rover some years ago which I remember was a fairly simple device to make and install into the header tank. I wonder if I've still got the design for it?. I see a commercial one mentioned a lot on here but ...

Re: Waeco FR-35 Compressor fridge

Hi - I've got an older Waeco B40 Hybrid AC/DC portable freezer & cool box. Very similar to the FR-35 but older technology. Runs the compressor on 230v or Thermoelectric on 12volt. It's very, very good, can't fault it (but very heavy @ 21kg) It can be used as a fridge or a freezer, but the freeze...

Re: Another Coolant Alarm Issue

Hi All, I've been reading lots about coolant alarms and I'd like some advice as I can't find the answer on here. As a new Bongo owner(I've probably only driven 200 miles since buying it last August) this year I intend to take it into Europe for some weeks. It's a 2 litre petrol that has an age of No...
