Another thought, I've a feeling the owner lives in Backwell, possibly he would meet you there take Bongy on to the the garage, then you could get the X1 back?

Apologies for slow reply, mine shows 'Revenue Weight 2300 KG Gross'. There’s certainly a lot of confusion on the internet, but it does look as though yours is showing the unladen weight as gross, which is obviously wrong. I can only suggest contacting the DVLA. Hi, this is not legal advice, just my view. Can I ask where you have your gross weight figure from, please? My understanding is the Bongo weighs about 17750kgs unladen, with a max gross of 2250kgs. Often the starter can be fixed with a repair kit, available pretty cheap off Flea Bay.
