Re: Very noisy 2.0l

I think it has enough Umph, just a bit less than the diesel. I am so far VERY dissapointed in the fuel consumption. It is going to be difficult to compare as its LPG. I have not mearured it on petrol. I was given to understand I should get 26 mpg on petrol (on a run) and I had worked out that as my ...

The manifold had a bolted on heat shield which is all tight and with my good ear I can hear no exhaust noise at all. I d...

Re: Very noisy 2.0l

Thanks both of you. I have checked that all the pipes just before and after the filter are ontact. I have not checked inside the pipes but will do. I have checked the filter and it is a new paper fiter that looks fine. I have made sure the seal at the top of the filter is intact and the top is clipp...

Re: Very noisy 2.0l

Yes it has been the same since I have had it about 500 miles ago. I took a test drive and found it noisy but was told that it would be fine cruising, well it is not and with a slight hill at 70 it is out of order. It is slightly better if you encourage it to change down and the revs go up a bit. It ...

Very noisy 2.0l

Hi I have 2005 2.0l. It is VERY noisy. I would say that it is induction noise and although its a bit annoying when accelerating it is defening at 70mph on the motorway. I have searched this forum for clues as to the cause and possible fix but everything I have read tells me mine is much worse than o...
