Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
Both. Trouble was it was all put back together before they found the crankshaft seal had gone as well.

Sounds a good price if it's OK. I've just paid nearly half that to sort out an oil leak on my V6.

Re: Door mirrors
Haven't tried it myself but a hairdryer on a hot setting for a few minutes might soften the adhesive enough to get the new glass off.

And another for MIJ. You can even tailor the sound and appearance to suit.

Re: Tearing my hair out!
Thanks for your help everyone. Had my Bongo for nearly five years and it hasn't missed a beat. Then in the last six weeks or so, everything seems to have gone wrong. Getting expensive as well as infuriating.

Tearing my hair out!
A few weeks ago I developed a knocking sound coming from the front left. So I replaced the drop links. Still there. New anti roll bar bushes and brackets. Still there. All fairly inexpensive items but decided to go for the bottom ball joint so replaced the complete wishbone with ball joint and the o...

Wiper Relay?
Is there a relay on the wipers? I've looked everywhere but can't find one.

Re: Wishbone Replacement
Thanks for that.
So its just remove all the supporting bolts and the pin and nut on top of the ball joint and hopefully everything comes apart?

Wishbone Replacement
Excuse my mechanical ignorance but if I replace my wishbone with a new complete unit is it still necessary to split the balljoint or is it merely removed by undoing relevant nuts and dropping it down? If that's the case I'll do it myself otherwise it's a trip to the local garage.

Knocking
I've had a knocking on slightly uneven surfaces, at the nearside front, for a few weeks so decided to replace the drop links, which are a couple of years old and the roll bar bushes and brackets. Knocking is still there. What else could it be and how do I test for whatever it may be?

Re: V6 - Pre-Service Questions
Was quoted £160 supply and fit by MIJ Exhausts who fitted my stainless exhaust system. They manufacture themselves so I'd guess that's a pretty good price.

Re: Tailgate light switch
I believe it's within the catch mechanism but I'm sure someone will be along to confirm that.
