Short Term Insurance

I am having trouble getting a quote for 1 day on my Bongo that has been off road for a while and now I need to take it to get it fixed. Do you have any suggetsions where to try? Money supermarket come up with a list of "no quote" from 20 or so companies, RAC says they dont do Grey imports ...

Re: ECU

Another update:

I had a new mechanic look at it today for another opinion.

He didn't think it was the ECU as they rarely go wrong and it is dishing out error codes - if it was dead it would not give readings.

He confirmed that the car is charging even though the charge light is on.

Re: ECU

Hi folks - an update on progress or rather lack of progress. I have not been able to find a replacement ECU - I tried all of those places that were suggested on here and many others as well. I sent it off to one of the suggested repairers but they were not able to test it with their current equipmen...

Re: ECU

Thanks for the ECU offer that would be great. Could I be a real pain and ask for an image of the underside of the plug wiring? Its the wire colours I need, I can get most of what I need from those. We have OE Mazda scanners, albeit UK carded, if that would help your guy out, he is welcome to bring ...

Re: ECU

Thanks for the replies folks - I have been out buying a cheap runaround for while the Bongo is laid up. The symptoms are - Engine warning light on, charge light on (but it is charging), hold light flashing (wont go away by playing with hold switch). Also it is now difficult to start from cold where ...

ECU

Does anyone know what the code numbers on the ECU mean? I have a 2002 2.0l petrol that needs a new ECU but I am told that it needs a specific one that matches the numbers shown below and we cant find one that has anything like the same numbers/letters. http://www.bhacromwell.co.uk/img/IMG_2530_resiz...

Electric Box ID

On my 2002 2.0 petrol - can anyone identify this electrical box? It is mounted near the ECU.

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l

An update on progress: I found this http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/mcolours1.htm which suggests that a white/white/grey/black 4 wire Lambda sensor could be an alternative to black/black/white/blue (as in my Bongo). So I took a punt on one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130595752653?_trksid=p2...

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l

Does anyone know - if I replace the lambda sensor, will the engine warning light go out automatically, or do I have to use the reader gizmo to clear the error code?

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l

Tis might be of interest to "some" peeps... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mazda-Bongo-Diagnostic-Scan-Tool-Reset-Fault-Code-Reader-iCarsoft-i909-/371551011072?rmvSB=true That only lists bongo between 2001 and 2005 and the plug looks the same shape as the £15 one that I bought. This is the one t...
