Re: My Leisure Battery Tray is too small :-( Replacement hel

Probably covering vent pipes in the event the batteries are allowed to gas during charging, as its a sealed job there are no caps with vents in them to release the pressure. If its not clearly marked to remove then I would leave them in place. Hmm, I think there may have been a slip of paper in the...

Re: Am I being ripped off

if you go the powerflow route they will build off the mild steel 1st pipe (that never goes) [-o< . so you save, get a flexi/and or gas expansion tube fitted in place of the front small box, then a smaller/lighter rear box and a fancy twin exit and your sorted. this is how the mazdaspeed (genuine) p...

Re: Am I being ripped off

for custom made exhausts look up a company called powerflow, they have local fabricators/fitters in all areas. they are good and reasonable, and build/ fit it to the car/van. you can even choose your tail piece. :) Cool, just spoke to a powerflow fitter in NW9 that will do the fit and install for ab...

Re: Am I being ripped off

Yeah fair call and if I had the time and place to do it (I live in an apartment in N1 London) I would def be getting my hands dirty! I've had the mechanic complete the service and the links, but I'm looking for someone to sort out the rear box / replace exhaust system. I like the idea of having some...

Re: Am I being ripped off

OK, I will hold off sorting out the exhaust until I can find a place in or near London that can do me a stainless steel one fitted for under £300

Re: Am I being ripped off

Thanks for the suggestions, Unfortunately due to work commitments I wont have a chance to get out of London for the next couple of weeks. I'm considering buying the exhaust from Regis on ebay for about £140... or could go for a stainless steel version for about £250. Then I imagine its only 2 hours ...

Am I being ripped off

Ive had to find a new Mechanic in Nth London after moving areas. I need a muffler replacement, back box and possibly the whole system, rear anti roll bars and a full service, replacing filters etc...

He's quoting £800.... £500 for the muffler work alone!

Sounds expensive to me?!

Re: My Leisure Battery Tray is too small :-( Replacement hel

For the sake of a completed thread, I just fitted the platinum SD6110L leisure battery in the willinton battery tray without any issues. There was a bit of room to spare as well. Thanks for everyone's help. :D

mikexgough wrote:From This brochure you will see the SD6100L which I have and it has a centre mounted single handle..... my previous LB was like the twin handled one.
and according to the pdf the SD6110L is a 328x172x214 so within the Willinton spec

Its also a dual terminal post, does that make any difference?

Re: My Leisure Battery Tray is too small :-( Replacement hel

Confusing - there are 3 separate models of the Platinum 110Ah leisure battery.... http://justcarbatteries.co.uk/index.php/leisure-batteries/ukb-leisure-batteries.html Is there any difference aside from sizing and which one is the best fit for the Willinton tray, as they all slightly breach it?!
