Re: Finally got our Bongo Winnie

Welcome aboard indeed. I liked reading your posts, I've searched them as relevant to my quest for a new one. In Brighton and have had trouble finding a V6 to replace a V6 warhorse that's served us 10 years. Looking at the Worcester man and currently being put in my place by email! I feel he will get...

Re: Hard shell tops

Thanks. That's the one. I see high top was the correct wording. Now found those on EBay. Anyone have feedback on sleeping up there and efficiency of ventilation?which is an optional extra I see. Our reasoning for having one is storage up top and ability to sleep hidden in places you should not be wi...

Hard shell tops

In my quest for a new V6 I would consider a permanent hard shell top on a low top. Only IF the windows opened or at least there was some form of ventilation. JAL do a hard top and Budget Bongos in Southampton. Have picked up a bit from a search on here but nothing specific....Anyone got one or had a...

Interesting if you add The Star to your search requirements. Good to hear the Bongo as a machine is above this!

Plymouth to Roscoff - down through france to the Spanish border - across the Pyrenees and then up the west coast again. Should take about 4 weeks Jane This campsite at Lescun is wonderful, cheap and positioned high up in a wide valley. Great for walking up Pic D'Anie, shorter walks, beautiful small ...

Good luck. I'm also on lookout to replace our Bongo of 10 years. The supply seems to be drying up. I'll keep on searching but can't offer any pointers as yet.

Re: bongo auto gearbox will not change out of 2nd gear help please??

I have similar problem. Flashing hold light and drives fine up to 55-60 but goes over 3000 revs approaching 70, which is slow for V6. Have driven 5,000 miles on it not exceeding 60-70mph. Also hold switch does not drop down a gear. Having driven through endless Portuguese mountain passes effortlessl...

Re: Breakdown cover in Ireland

I had to leave Green Flag for Britannia on the 15th birthday. Have had 4 years with them. Used them in Iceland. Had to spend night in torrential rain and high winds. Didn't get out of van and in morning flat battery in middle of nowhere. Rang Britannia. They got someone from France to ring us. Locat...
