Re: Drive my V6 90 miles without Alternator charging?

I got mine done 15 miles away by a non Bongo specialist for £25. Your petrol costs will be more than that, as Bob says. I reckon you'll make the 90 mile journey if you try it.

Just 32" longer (82cm) and the space above. I'll Report how it works out but pick up won't be till end of October and I'm trekking in Nepal for 6 weeks Nov/Dec.

Re: Newbie post: Japanese Auctions, underbody water tanks, big tires, 4wd protection

I took my V6 down to the Sahara and after the first experience of sand did not leave a track again. I spent 2 years previously teaching in Saudi Arabia and had a 4WD Nissan Pathfinder 2L. Clearance was great but I learnt not to stop when driving on sand dunes. Luckily that helped me get the Bongo ba...

Re: Thanks for 10 years of Support

Yes Mike bought it the V6 at Southampton Auction £3,800 ungraded 42,000 on clock (Ian, dealer I think from Derby way gave me a thumbs up), Allans Vehicle Services got it on the road and went to Morocco within a month for 8 weeks. Now 130,000 miles on clock and slept in it for a total of at least 14 ...

Thanks for 10 years of Support

Would have struggled without the forum...... Unfortunately the forum has helped me leave the Bongo world for a Private Ambulance. Good reviews on Wheelquick made me check them out for a replacement Bongo and instead I've put a deposit down on this quirky, cool LWB van. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3620...

Thumbs up for the Delicia but maybe not the extreme one above.

Re: Devon Cornwall.

Beautiful place our V6 strolled around it easily. Brake pads didn't like the downhills though. Great 2 day walk from Lynton to Lynmouth return and one of the world's greatest cricket grounds at the Valley of the Rocks. Think I'll have to book a return visit this Autumn. Thanks for the reminder.

Re: Jalimports

Well the Aqua wasn't quiet Aqua enough for me to pay £1,000 over a silver. Great to meet Phil and see so many Bongos. No silvers though. Apparently not many V6s left and many of the Grade 4s are rotten underneath and heading towards Southampton as we speak. Good tip by Phil. I'll spend on the one I ...

The day of reckoning is Monday. Aqua Bongo V6 arriving and hope to meet Phil and view. Been told that it will be very dirty as that is better......so glad to have read the posts on here! Re: Jalimports

It helps very much indeed. Thanks for your time. He said the scuffs were included in the price. I thought he meant as scuffs not as repaired scuffs! Reassuring. In my auction sheet deciphering I've got tyres 3/10 front 5/10 rear so ready for replacing. It was Yokohama Auction and I have even found t...

Re: Jalimports

Thanks for input. Great colour the Caribbean Blue. Thought about it but have had Aqua for 10 years and love it. Three questions you may be able to help with: 1.So he sorted out the dings for you? That's good as there are a few invisible from the photos on this one but on the auction sheet. 2.Have yo...

Re: Jalimports

Thanks Mike. Good condition indeed and I can see my first mushroom roof photo! Good tip on 3.5 grade. Had already asked for my auction sheet and it has a number of letters from the alphabet on it. They relate to minor dents , scratch, one S1 rust spot(pimple), chip in windscreen, small repair job we...
