Fans & Heaters, Aircon, Climate Control.
The Bongo is fitted with air conditioning as standard, most have a separate fan, controls & heating/cooling matrix fitted front & rear, a few never had it fitted in the rear, some have had it taken out during conversion and some have been by-passed due to leaks. Some are fitted with manual t...

Re: Fuel Starvation after a steady run.
Try runnning it without the fuel cap on, the NR type arrangement in there may be gunged up. Worth checking for leaks around the fuel pump, replacement may have the same issues, unlikely though. I take it it's not a garage that's not used to bongos, or they'd have fixed the fuel gauge issue by sortin...

Re: nearside wing mirror - does it retract or not?
To access the internals the mirror pulls off the mounting by prising it from the outer bottom corner, it' is clipped on by 4 clips which should pop off. To remove the mirror, from memory, there's a removable disc jobby in the inner door panel , with a fixing behind I think, can't remember if there's...

Check levels then you'll know auto transmission oil or steering fluid should be reddy/orange.

Re: Intermittent cutting out
I reckon the fuel gauge could be a red herring, or it could point to an earth issue mebe? You haven't had the battery replaced recently have you? check the battery terminals are tight (& the battery clamp is not broken as Karena's was, clamp was done up tight, but the clamp was broken #-o giving...

am i wrong but shouldnt they be 15s on 4 wheel drive Standard size is 15", but as long as rolling diameter is the same all round on a 4wd so as not to screw up the viscous coupling, it should be ok, loads of peeps have bigger wheels. My 17's http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj58/pyronoia/Ima...

Worth checking the fuel stop solenoid & make sure the connection is secure, on the rear end of the fuel pump. Roof mould - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/search.php?keywords=Roof+and+mould&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&st=0&ch=300&a...

Re: Daily Titter - content warning!
The kid next door was running round the garden waving a pretend wand and shouting out spells. "I bet you really want to be like Harry Potter, don't you?" I asked him. "Yeah!" he shouted excitedly. So I killed his parents and locked him under the stairs.

Re: Help....Black smoke, slight chugging after starting
Also check the cold start vacuum solenoids are operating ok, on the drivers side of the engine, the front 2 of 4, they should pick the revs up on start up, one only picks up below 20 degrees C, t'other below @55 degrees C, that one should also work when the ac compressor kicks in (if your ac is gass...

Re: Winter Checks
Where can you get an ice scraper? I believe the Bongo shop sells them, Bob! It might be worth enquiring of Ian. They appear to be specifically for the Bongo, and I would imagine that your insurance could be invalidated if you were to clear ice with a non-Bongo ice scraper. If the Bongo shop h...

Re: Strange Temp Guage Readings
If it's going up & down almost instantly, it more than likely is not a coolant issue, but as has been said - is an electrical issue, especially if t'other gauge is reading normally (although 56-68 degrees is low, should be up in the 80's for a properly runnning system, the position of you add on...
