Re: Leisure Battery

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. It’s more to act as a trickle charger, keep it topped up when it’s standing. We only really use it a couple of nights at a time so it’s mainly blinds, lights and radio that we use. I’ve got one on the roof already that the previous owner fitted, but we’ve got...

Leisure Battery

Hi all, Looking to buy a Yuasa Active Leisure Battery L26-AGM, https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/ncc-class-a/l26-agm/ which has a NCC class of A and a capacity of 90aH. My question is, what wattage solar panel charger should I be looking to complement it? I'm not mounting the solar charger, ...

Re: Dismantle Rear Bench

Yeah - that looks a bit much. Might just get some heavy duty shrink wrap and store it in the shed.

Re: Dismantle Rear Bench

That's really useful, thank you!
I'll have to take a look on a bigger screen than my phone. Anyone had any experience doing that?

Dismantle Rear Bench

Hi, I've taken the rear bench out of my Bongo to make way for a rear kitchen and seating. Is there a way to dismantle the bench? I want to store it in my loft but it's too big to get through the loft hatch. Is there a way to remove the back of the bench from the seat, or another way to dismantle it?...

Re: After your thoughts

Quote I’ve got is a fair bit more than that but it is going to be done by specialists, i want to make sure everything is done right and no corners cut. I think £1500 sounds a bit cheap for all that work tbh - I’d be over the moon if that’s what it was. Getting it done in the North East. Yes to the p...

Re: After your thoughts

Thanks for the reply. What price do you think I’d be looking at to get all that done?

After your thoughts

Hi! We have a 2004 2l petrol automatic which we bought off a family friend that is now in need of quite a bit of work. I’ve got a quote and it’s booked in to get work done, we’ve decided to get it sorted and keep it - hopefully with a good few years pain free motoring ahead. Just not sure we’re doin...

Re: Roof bars for roof tent

Thanks for this, searching through eBay.

I’ve tried searching on here, does anyone know the roof weight limit for the tin top?

Roof bars for roof tent

Hi all,

Just looking to get the thought of people who have used a roof tent, like a tentbox, with the Bongo and what roof bars you used.

Thanks.

Aerial question

Hi, I want to change or adapt my current aerial. I know there is a fact sheet but it’s a different aerial to the one I’ve got - a 2004 tin roof. I couldn’t find anything when searching either. I’ve got a tent box on the roof and it’s banging against it when driving. Has anyone changed it for a short...

Re: Recommend a garage

I’m a 2l petrol - not a V6. Noticed my coolant is down, is it as important on those engines or is it a bit more simple?

Re: Recommend a garage

In people’s general experience, is it worth taking your Bongo to a Bongo friendly garage?

Assume they’ve got their quirks and it’s best to go to a garage that is aware of them.

Re: Recommend a garage

Thanks for that, there are a couple fairly close - I’d looked in the members area but didn’t realise where they were.
