Hi all, Dropped Garfied (V6 2.5 Petrol Auto) off to the Kinloss Garage today for the timing belt change. After guidance from the collective, provided them with a timing kit, hydraulic tensioner, Water pump, cam seals and a crank seal. They said the cams seals and crank seal would require some additi...

Re: How to check if a Timing belt has been changed?
Hi Doone,
Took your excellent advice.
All parts advised have been ordered, except the guidewheels. Could not find them on the Bongo shop.
Perhaps Ian will enlighten me on his return from the bash.
Best regards

Re: How to check if a Timing belt has been changed?
Doone, Thanks for the advice. Since my post this morning, I have requested the Kinloss garage to assess the guidance from you guys and give me a price to use the Cam kit, replace water pump, supplied by them, in addition your suggestions. Of course have also asked them to ensure no duplication with ...

Doone,
Thanks for the heads up. Just end to find out what all those extra parts will cost. Are we taking £500 or less?

Re: Jcs (Sw) Ltd
Geoff, Thanks for that. Will make sure our Bongo has a full check over. If I find any issues, I will just have to deal with them. Not a good start but fingers crossed. Did ring the previous owner again and he did not have any major problems over the five years he had it. Time will tell. All the best...

Jcs (Sw) Ltd
Hi all, Just been chatting to the previous own of our Bongo. He bought it from Jcs (Sw) Ltd in Bristol back in 2015, as the first UK owner. Is there any adverse history with this company in the past? Just want to be prepared for any unknown issues. Will be getting our Bongo looked at whilst it has a...

Re: How to check if a Timing belt has been changed?
Thanks for the guidance.
Doing NC 500 last week in July.
Just ordered Kit from the Bongo shop. Realise that the bash is on at the moment and delivery may be delayed, so have booked Kinloss garage to do it w/c 12th July. Just labour around 8 hours work. Circa £500.

How to check if a Timing belt has been changed?
Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been asked. Brought a Bongo V6 a couple of weeks ago. Its now done 100k Km. Is their any way of visually checking if the timing belt has been replaced in the passed? If not, I will get this done soonest.
Cheers
