Re: Two issues, power loss & leaking door
Yep, it does feel like fuel starvation. The filterd were allegedly changed by the dealer I bought it from.. I'll have a search on here for their locations and check them out. Do you think having a different amount of fuel in the tank would change the filters performance or is it more likely to be a ...

Re: Two issues, power loss & leaking door
So.... it doesn't appear to be a problem with the fuel cap. Took it for a long drive again this evening and all was well for the first 60 miles. Stopped for an hour or so and on way back the problem returned once the fuel was down to about half a tank. I pulled over and removed the fuel cap, even le...

Re: Two issues, power loss & leaking door
Aaahhh, that's a very good point, thanks! The van has got one of those temporary fuel caps fitted, good call.
I'll check it out and report back.
Thanks again.

Two issues, power loss & leaking door
Hello all, Not had my Bongo long but have noticed an issue with lack of power. As my fuel tank gets emptier, the problem gets worse. Does this point to a dodgy fuel pump? It gets to a point where a kick down will rev to somewhere around 3-3.5K and the van will slow down, but if I slowly press the th...

Re: New owner.. Roundabouts!
I've also found a load of rust on the inside edge of the boot which makes me worry about the quality of repair/respray done to the outside but that's a post for another day.... Same here. Ground it out and after kurust etc i entombed/remade it with polyester resin and glass cloth. Did something sim...

Re: New owner.. Roundabouts!
The first time it happened I thought I'd misjudged my speed, so much squeal.. I was doing 50+, right? ... looked down.. nope.. 25mph! I'm thinking a slight upgrade in alloy size and wider tyres is on the horizon, or should I stick with 15's? I've also found a load of rust on the inside edge of the b...

Re: New owner.. Roundabouts!
I've just noticed that the tyres are 91W, could that be why they are crying around roundabouts?

Re: New owner.. Roundabouts!
Thanks for the reply Will definitely check out the spare.
It's a shame as the tyres are new. The alloys aren't in a very good way and I was thinking of changing them. If I'm changing tyres too, would it be worth fitting slightly larger alloys or do they upset the ride?
Thanks again.

New owner.. Roundabouts!
Hello all, my first post here after buying myself a Bongo on the weekend just gone. Loving it so far but here's the first of a few niggles that I'm looking to resolve... On the way home from buying it I noticed that the tyres squeal at around 25mph+ when going round roundabouts. I've had a look at t...
