Re: Leisure Battery Draining

When the garage says, "Nothing to do with us", did they fit the split charge system, have they done work on it, or have you just asked them to fix it and they refused? Sorry should have been clearer, they were just checking over the bongo, not the LB and they hadn't been involved with the...

Re: Leisure Battery Draining

A Split Charge Relay only handles the charging of the battery from the Alternator, have you also fitted a swap loom ? Or how is everything else connected to the leisure battery ? Check the TWO charge fuses one in each lead from each battery going to the Relay, often one of them will blow if the LB ...

Leisure Battery Draining

Hi guys, A while ago I fitted a split charge relay kit and so my leisure battery powers internal lights, radio/cd player, cigarette sockets and also (apparently) the door mechanism for the sliding door. Thing is when it last came back from the garage the coil light kept flashing on the dashboard (ga...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

thats the right pipe, it should get hot as in you can hold it for about 5 secs before you have to let go. if its not hot then it aint bled, did you go round squeezing hoses to help shift stubborn air pockets. did you get hot heaters. both front and back, this will indicate if you have water circula...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

Videos by some well known Forum members, and they have done a great job. That coolant should be fine, but you must be certain all the old stuff is flushed out if it's a different type. Anti freeze of different types isn't compatible, in spite of what our local Halfords told me. #-o Heya, just follo...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

Either recovery as suggested by Ian or have a look at the videos and bleed it DIY. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jRAKOSxgbKo Wow great videos, thanks. Is there a chance that it is overheating just because it hasn't been bled properly andnothing more serious (crosses fingers)? Would this cool...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

Thanks for your help guys, I took it for a short drive yesterday after being in the mechanics - about 10 minutes in the temperature begins to rise and finally I had to pull over as I could hear the gurgling/boiling sound coming from behind the glove box :( Following all of your advice, it really doe...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

For any work on the cooling system I would seek out a Bongo Savvy garage, anything else is pretty standard old tech. Someone may well know an expert near you, and the Bongomeister is based in Sheffield. 8) Thanks Bob - no fit state to drive more than 5 mins without overheating so I took it local in...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

Also, the bongo is in Leeds, do you think any garage would be ok to take it for fitting (I have no tools or anything here), or should I seek out a bongo specialist (I'm not sure there is one in Leeds actually...)

Reverse light lense

Hi guys, reversing without paying enough attention means I've smashed the reverse lense see pic below. Ia it possible to just replace the plastic? Seen full clusters fir sale but obviously don't want to do that. Other alternative would just be clear tape I guess? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zAA...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

How would you go about looking for a replacement pipe bob, would I need a part number etc? Pipe in question is marked in yellow on photos: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h4dbazGNoim_FJsRhnQmKFeM0XfXdPtIqA/view?usp=drivesdk https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pUlMr2lIQWJBgPgyUHxMrEhQoHMit2dchQ/view?us...

Re: Overheating/Gurgling etc

Just passed its MOT thankfully, and garage has found the coolant leak - a pin prick sized hole in a rubber pipe underneath the driver's seat. I'll take a picture shortly but do you think I could try something like Wynns radiator stop leak or Radweld? And if that doesn't work, replacement pipe from b...

Selling in Autumn or Spring?

Hi guys, I don't know if it's a myth but I heard that selling campervans in Autumn is not a good idea as you won't get as good a price or as much interest as in Spring/Summer. Just wondered if any of you could back that up, and if so, would it be worth SORNing the vehicle while it's not in use and w...
