Re: Thinking of joining the Bongo world
I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a tin-top bongo. There are plenty of MPV type vehicles which would offer similar levels of space which you should be able to get much more-recent examples of for similar money - especially if you're thinking of taking the back seats out in any case.

If it's as immaculate as you say it is, you could consider just painting the underneath as opposed to the dynax (or even before the dynax).

Re: Best Rust Killer
A lot of those rust converters don't work if you grind / sand down all the rust. It needs some rust to remain because it reacts chemically with rust to work. If you remove all of the rust completely you should just primer / paint.

How was fitting the new steering wheel? I'd like to replace mine but not sure how best to go about it.
Are there certain sizes or anything?

Re: Top rubber for rear coil spring
You could probably sell those as the part is no longer available. When I was looking I came across a good few people online looking for the same part and all the breakers say they're in bits from any vans they take them out of.

Re: Top rubber for rear coil spring
Did you try them for size? I ordered a load of various ones - they're typically only a couple of euros each but none were an exact fit. I can't recall if one was from a sorento, definitely a few santa fe etc.

Re: Top rubber for rear coil spring
I did in the end - I got two from a breakers in the UK but they were only marginally better than the ones I had already so I suspect to need to replace them in the near future. https://www.spaccer.com/ Will make a custom mount but involves raising the van slightly at least. These are pricey too. I'...

Re: Top rubber for rear coil spring
Does anyone know where to source the rubber part that goes between the rear coil spring and the cup on the suspension mount? Getting a small bit of rust addressed and these rubbers are badly perished. try here http://www.autospares.eu/price-lists/mazda/3526/ They don't have it. There are loads of t...

Re: Under seat sliding drawer
I got mine made up by https://plyworxuk.co.uk/ after seeing them on instagram, I think it was £120 shipped to the ROI.
I've had a look through my photos and can't find one but I'll take some in the next day or two, it's a proper job!

Re: 2.5td cutting out when cold
So I managed to get it started and got it through the test. The click for the glow plug relay was taking so long I had thought it wasn't working, was a good 15seconds or so. By waiting for this click (and still doing a couple of preheats), it's was slightly less impossible to get started, using abou...

Re: 2.5td cutting out when cold
And yet again here we are! I have my mot equivalent today and could not get the van to stay running yesterday. Although I haven't used it as much this year it's been fine up until the temperatures have dropped. I got it started yesterday after four preheats and a few cycles of turning over then preh...
