Newest Bongos all tin tops?
Hi All, My 1997 AFT bongo is succumbing slowly to the Scottish weather and the dreaded rust. I am mulling over a newer version. I am aware that production ceased in 2005, and thus the newest Bongos are registered as 2006. What I am wondering is...are all 2005/6 Bongos tin-tops? as these are all I ha...

Re: Top cupboards with a tintop?
Thanks. Someone on FB suggested the roof is a different shape, so they won't fit.

Top cupboards with a tintop?
I have two of the mini top (smaller) cupboards fitted to my Bongo at the moment (an AFT) from ACE Campers IIRC. If I were to change to a tintop (currently thinking that one over) could I refit the cupboards into the new van? They are currently fitted using screws 'down from above' along with a self-...

Re: Steering Misalignment Question
What I'm wondering is whether it is likely to 'settle in' as the shock beds in. Or whether I need to replace the other side, or get the alignment/ tracking checked. Not really sure what to do.

Steering Misalignment Question
I just got a passenger front shock fitted today. I watched it getting done and all seemed ok. Original one was leaking and had no springiness left in it. All seemed fine but now my steering wheel is not lined up straight? The van seems to drive fine in a straight line and is not pulling one way or t...

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
My mechanic had a look today and reckons he can cut the pipe and join the ends with an appropriate hose. Save the hassle of re-fitting the pipe. Wise move or not?

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
Is it one is these...
Is it this one?

Or this one?

Thanks for any help.
I'm currently inclining towards getting both and doing them at the same time!

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
Wow this has to be the hardest part of any vehicle to photograph...ever! The pipe in question runs along the drivers side. It runs at some places close to the two thin pipes (that I think are the rear AC?) It is narrower gauge than some of the metal pipes and joins onto a hose in the drivers side en...

Re: Coolant looking a bit low
If you see my recent post: http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=73887 I am having similar issues. I did the cold pressure test (it was easy) and it highlighted that I had a small pin hole leak (that's as much help as I can be - I haven't identified the offending pipe yet, or fi...

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
Sorry NB. I'll try for a better pic later. I wondered about the gauge Of the pipe when I was looking at the diagrams. It's pretty thin, so I'd go for the 15mm if I was guessing. The leak is forward of the engine bay, level with/ underneath the drivers footwell. The leak is at the point of a bracket....

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
Thanks Bob!
Driving myself daft now looking at Lush Projects diagrams and reading forum posts about blanking off the rear heater. Cannot really get my head around any of it! Hopefully someone will be along with some worldly advice in a minute....

Re: Coolant Leak Assistance
Thanks NB, I will try for this weekend, weather dependant (it's Scotland in summer) and let you know. The cross member was mentioned at the MOT. Worth running down and hammeriting? The whole underside is getting pretty rusty (today's the first time I've really looked under). Are they worth under sea...
