Re: v6 blowing the coolant from the header tank
hi all Simon has checked the cooling system out, pressured tested from the expansion tank the same way the rac man did I the first time it happened and no leaks, pressure tested from the rad cap backwards and coolant blew past the expansion tank cap, so it looks like the cap was the problem, also th...

Re: v6 blowing the coolant from the header tank
hi the first rac man bled the system, no bubbles then, he works on plenty of bongos in cornwall , the cambelt was changed not long ago by the last owner, I think she would not have had the waterpump changed at the same time, when we first had the van we had the lpg serviced, they said the top rad ho...

Re: v6 blowing the coolant from the header tank
Hi all thanks for replies, the expansion cap went missing a couple of months ag0, I replaced it with one from a scrap bongo, the cap was marked up at 1.1bar, I like the sound of the scavenger fan override switch, my thoughts at the moment are to have the waterpump , thermostat and rad replaced, that'...

Re: v6 blowing the coolant from the header tank
Hi no thermostat change, the temp gauge has never been above half way until Thursday, top and bottom hoses on the rad are both warm and the heater is blowing hot, my thoughts are the rad maybe partialy blocked, rac man thinks water pump has lost a blade.contracts mechanics Simon is going to do a leak ...

Re: Anyone fitted a Motorcycle rack?
Hi have you looked at the bike towing rigs on Ebay, the rig fits on the tow ball but the rear wheel of the bike stays on the road, I was thinking of this idea for my Honda transalp, does away with the trailer and takes up no space, figure you would need some kind of light board, I would take the dri...

Re: Garage in Northampton/Wellingborough/Kettering
I use Simon at contract mechanics for my V6 , he sorted out the niggling problems on our van for us and serviced it, real nice bloke, he's mobile so maybe he could come to you, worth the trip anyway.

Re: Best inflatable awning
we have the Vango Kela two, its been very good in all weathers, we bought it before we got the bongo !!, could maybe use just a little more space though, the sapera would stick out to far from the van for my liking, the Talli follows the line of the van but is a bit exspensive at the moment , I woul...

Hi all
does anyone know if the meet up is still on ? , or did the height barrier kill the idea off?, maybe the venue has been changed, we're up for going if it still on.
