Re: Driver Side Electric Window switch - SWAP?
Pretty sure Bongo Spares will ship anywhere. Thanks Bob, yeh I did check but it would be quite expensive in comparison to findig a part over here... Plus, and I should have added this, I'm on a tight deadlin, I've sold the van and they're picking it up in a week.... typical that it fails now...

Re: Show us yer insides
yes, that's right...well remembered! I went with the Danish Oil recommendation, worked a blooming treat... needed 'airing' for quite a few days though...Was it you we discussed what best to finish the woodwork with? Looks a fun Bongo. Good luck with the next project.

Re: Show us yer insides
Well, my time here in Bongoland has come to an end... for now. We have sold our beloved Buddy and he is getting picked up by his new owner tonight. I also just wanted to say thanks for all the help I have been given over the last couple of years and although I've not been a hugely active user of the...

Wow, that's good to know! I was certain there'd be at least one that wouldn't, thanks!

Re: Towbar swap and other parts
Seems like the long way round (and a shame) to turn a decent Bongo into an indecent one by parts swapping if/when it might be easier to get parts from a breaker like Bongospares. Have you explored/costed out tbe alternatives? I know I know, but I'm in New Zealand and it's pretty hard to come by the...

Towbar swap and other parts
Hey Bongonauts... I have the opportunity to buy a '99 V6 petrol Bongo tintop (I already have a '95 2.4 Diesel AFT) ...looks in decent condition and has 'some' paperwork... but what I want to buy it for is to swap a few of the parts out for ones that are worn or missing on my Buddy. Anyone know if th...

Re: DIY conversion... and so it begins.
for my 2 pennies worth... I built a teardrop trailer the year before last and wanted a "classic" look, so had ply sides and aluminium over the top. I used Danish Oil on the sides, it took quite a few coats, but once dry (it stayed sticky for a few days), it felt fantastic, like a varnish....

Re: DIY conversion... and so it begins.
That is looking sooooo cool. Maybe you should keep the lovely woody look and varnish it and then use tie on cushions etc for comfort. Less hassle for the missus to make, nice and easy to clean upholstery and refurbish/wipe down woodwork, would look cool and sunny, and you could easily change the th...
