Re: Newbie with a wiring puzzle
Strange! Should not make any difference to the circuits' operation whether the VSR is closed or open so something is amiss. Certainly my blinds and mirrors work the same when the VSR is on or when parked up camping.

Re: Rear Heater Supply Pipe
I wonder if the Ford Ranger may use studs on the water pump because mine came with replacement studs which I didn't need for the bongo.

Re: French heatwave - van in peril!
No photo yet but description isn't necessarily alarming. You can get a fair amount of water from aircon especially if it is warm AND humid , which it is in the UK at the moment. Try soaking some up with white absorbent paper (tissues, kitchen roll, toilet roll) and let us know what colour it is. Als...

Re: Rear Heater Supply Pipe
There are no studs for the pulley, but fairly sure there are some studs between pump and head. They would be the missing bolts in the outline on this wood: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a481/Christopher_Merriman/Bongo%20Cooling%20job/IMG_0184%20480x640_zps1szmrt8u.jpg Could cross check with di...

That height (H190mm) is limiting. You generally need about 220mm height at least.
Could you have transposed the width and height when typing?

Re: AFT Roof sticking
Does the roof need the nudge to start it lifting up, or won't it stop beeping at the top without a bit of help?
The struts help very little at the bottom of the travel but make a big difference above half way. It's the angles

I fully agree with you Geoff.
Which is why I was wondering about a forum "paid-for" account instead of flitting from one freebie to another as they flex their muscles and change their rules.

Re: Engine Oil and general maintenance recommendations
When changing the coolant, it is well worth changing the thermostat whilst you are at it. They seem to be prone to sticking open! Symptom is the temp gauge appearing not to be working. and worse still, have been known to stick in any position including closed. But its an awkward job especially on a...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
The "gubbins" I had queried turned out to be the quick warm up exhaust valve control system but I hadn't a scooby. All I knew was it was using the vacuum take-off that the fact sheet points to.

It has started. I see Simon's photos on a 2014 cruise control thread are now replaced with the Upgrade for 3rd Party Hosting shield. Checked a couple of mine and still ok, huh  Been thinking, apologies in advance if this is stupid. Given that it is expensive on several fronts to host ...

Re: Rear Heater Supply Pipe
Yes - I'd struck upon your previous post. Was going to hopefully source one this week while perioding dousing of the nuts in penetrating oil in situ in the hope it budges! Don't get much time on the evenings so spend it researching and thinking through the next stages. Annoyingly it looks as if one...
